- I greatly appreciated Profesora Miller's communication about our grades. After every exam, we would receive a small slip of paper that broke down our grade in the class and made suggestions on areas of improvement and where we have been succeeding. I wish all of my professors would do something similar because it really helped me understand where I was throughout the course in terms of my work effort and grade.
- Profesora Miller is always pleasant, helpful, and consistently willing to assist in any questions I may have.
- I really enjoyed this class, I loved how open the discussions were as I never felt nervous about asking a question. The classes were interesting and the professor always had different activities for the class based on the topic. For example we always did review problems in the book every class, but we would also occasionally watch a Spanish movie or play a game to strengthen our vocab.
- The classroom was very comfortable and a good environment all together. The professor was very approachable and she was very helpful with any problems. We all worked together and it was a really fun class.
- Dr. Miller did a good job in keeping the class engaged throughout class and she makes sure that every student is heard.
- Very enthusiastic about the course, Dr.Miller is a perfect language professor.
- Dr. Miller's course is well organized!
- The professor always came in with a lot of energy and was very passionate about the language. It made the class a lot more enjoyable.
- Dr. Miller was always willing to help, and made sure to answer each question everyone had thoroughly. She was always looking out for our best interest. This is the second time I've taken one of her courses, and I would choose her for again if I had to take another course.
- We are only permitted to speak Spanish in the classroom, which was extremely difficult for me in the beginning of the semester. This challenge helped me with my speaking and pronunciation. While we were frequently challenged in the class, she would always provide help to get through the challenges.
- The class activities and games helped so much and helped get a sense for the culture in the country. They were very relevant and cool and she spent a lot of time making them.
- Every interaction with the professor helped me improve my skills in Spanish. She really wants her students to succeed and will provide an immense amount of feedback in order to help them.
- I love her as a professor I have taken 3 courses with her and am sad to not have her next semester.
- I think having the professor give us fun games and relevant games like Life to show the different lives of people in foreign countries helped a lot. It stimulated my mind and opened my eyes and was better to live that life in a game than to be taught it on a presentation powerpoint.
- Dr. Miller's feedback was always clear and helped me understand why I made a mistake and how I should correct it. Overall, very helpful.
- I thought this course was organized great! the gamification aspect really pushed me to do assignments because I was excited to get the points.
- She is really good at explaining the applicable aspects of the class and how important it is to be open and educated in other cultures for the medical professions.
- The way this course was set up should be how all if not most other classes set up, knowing that we can only gain points and not help them increased my confidence.
- Dr. Miller's presentations helped make learning about medical Spanish way more fun and interesting. Her anecdotes and connections to the topics we discussed in class helped me form a better understanding of what we were learning.
- Dr. Miller was always nice whenever I asked for help. She was very to the point, and if I didn't understand something, she would reexplain it to me in a way that made more sense.

- Profesora Miller was amazing. If I had the opportunity to have her as a professor again, I would. She had the most respect for all of her students in the classroom. The most important aspect I saw was that she was very patient to her students and made sure clarity was most important whether it was grammar, vocabulary, and even speaking the language. She spoke with clarity in everything she did and gave us the opportunity to learn from our mistakes if we had any. The idea of corrections in school because it gives you a valuable opportunity to learn what you missed and I think all teachers should have tests/assignment corrections. She was thorough in her instruction and I felt like I learned a lot in Spanish 202. Thank you for being there when I needed you most and helping me strive for success. You were much more than an educator and respected your students. I hope I have Alyssia Miller again soon before I graduate from the University of Alabama. She was perfect for me as a Spanish teacher.
- Alyssia Miller was a wonderful professor. I am a freshman thrown into a higher level Spanish course, which is intimidating to a freshman at a new school. Alyssia made the class a friendly environment which made students want to learn. She always presented the course material in a way where everyone can understand it. The class became my favorite class to attend, and eager to continue in Spanish.
- Ms. Miller was quite possibly the best SP-101 teacher you could ask for. She did a very good job of explaining and demonstrating the correct use of Spanish. The activities in her class were engaging and actually helped you practice and learn how to speak/write correctly. Ms. Miller is always available to help you if you need it and she was always a nice person in class. There was not a day where I found myself not wanting to go to class because I actually enjoyed learning the material and the way it was presented.
- Miss Miller is a great communicator and makes the learning process very enjoyable. She always finds ways to keep the students interested in the material discussed in class. Lastly, Miller allows the students to have an active role within each class through group exercises and activities.
- She was an excellent communicator who obviously has a love for what she does. Probably one of the best Spanish teachers I have had so far at the university.
- Alyssia Miller is very accessible to her students and clear about the expectations she has for class. She goes above and beyond to engage her students and really make sure everyone gets as much out of the class as possible.
- Ms. Miller was a creative teacher who always came up with fun and exciting ways to present the material. This is the only hour and fifteen minute class I have taken that didn't seem to drown on forever.
- I wish Alyssia Miller would teach all my Spanish classes. She is understandable and can answer any question you throw at her. She makes Spanish class enjoyable.
- She is a teacher who uses her time effectively and knows how to have fun with a class but still maintain control.
- She was a great professor and I loved how she would tie her personal experiences and travel into our lectures.
